Logixity – who are we?
At Logixity, we are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals whose personal data we process in the context of our business-to-business services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when our platform is used by business clients and their employees or users. Our information:
Logixity B.V.
Dr. H. Th. s’Jacoblaan 76 (3571 BL), Utrecht, the Netherlands
Registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under nr. 96342501
We provide services in a business-to-business capacity through our self-developed platform called Logixity (the ‘’Platform’’), including, but not limited to, the registration and profiling of supply chain, logistics and technology service providers and buyers of such services, the publication and management of logistics tenders, digital matching between parties, data-driven decision support, and functionalities for supply chain transparency and performance monitoring.
Our clients are active as a buyer or provider of logistics services (or a combination thereof) in a business capacity and wish to use (certain parts of) the services offered by us on the Platform for the purposes of managing logistics tenders, identifying suitable logistics partners, and improving transparency and performance insights within its own logistics operations.
As soon as you visit our website logixity.io or contact us, we receive information about you. In this privacy statement we explain what we do with that information. We always handle your information with care and store it securely. If you have any questions or want to know what information we have on you, please contact us. We may amend this privacy statement if necessary. We recommend that you regularly review this privacy statement so that you are aware of these changes.
When do you apply this privacy statement?
This privacy statement applies to all personal data that we process and to all domains related to us. This concerns the personal data of everyone who has contacted us or visited our website, such as visitors, customers and business contacts. Personal data is all data that can be traced back to you as an individual, such as your name, telephone number, IP address, customer number or surfing behavior. If you want to know more about personal data, please visit the website of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Which personal data do we process?
We process the personal data that you, your employer or your assignor has provided to us. This includes contact details and other personal data necessary for conducting business and providing our services, as well as for handling specific requests. For example: name, address, postal code, city, telephone number, email address, date of birth, bank account number, and other information required in connection with our services such as job position, photographs, etc.
It is also possible that we obtain personal data from other sources, such as the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce or personal data that is publicly available on (business) websites. We may also receive personal data about you from contractual partners. Personal data refers to information that relates to you or can be associated with you. Any operation that can be performed on personal data - such as collecting, storing, transferring, or deleting the data - is referred to as the 'processing' of personal data.
Why do we process personal data?
We process your personal data in order to provide our services as effectively as possible and to give our clients the best possible service. This processing is necessary for the performance and delivery of our services. In most cases, the legal basis for processing is either the performance of a contract we have with you, your employer or your assignor, or your consent.
For example, personal data is used to enable us to contact you or - indirectly - your employer. Contact details are also stored in our customer management system and may be used to send (additional) information. Furthermore, we use personal data for the issuance of possible invoices and to operate our payment systems.
In some cases, we are legally required to retain specific personal data. For instance, under the Dutch Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act (WWFT), we may be required to request a copy of (a part of) an identity document or passport from you. We may also process personal data when we have a legitimate interest in doing so and where this does not result in a disproportionate infringement on your privacy. This may include, for example, improving our services or website.
How did we obtain personal data?
We collect your personal data directly from you when you interact with us in various ways. This includes when you visit our website, create an account, submit information through our platform, contact us by email, phone or other means of communication, or when you give consent for the use of your data to one of our partners.
Protection of your personal data
We have done a lot to protect your data as well as possible, both organizationally and technically. We have secured our systems and various means of communication to ensure that your data does not end up in the hands of others. Your data is therefore safe with us. We also ensure that your data is only used by people who have received permission from us. If you have any questions about the specific method of securing, please contact us. When we share your data with others, they are also obliged to treat it with the same care as we do. If you notice that this is not the case, please let us know.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep your personal data for as long as we are required to do so by law and for as long as necessary for the purpose for which we use your data. For example, as long as you are a client with us, we store your data according to the statutory retention period of seven years. After that, we only keep your data for statistical purposes and to handle any complaints or legal matters. If you want to know more about how long we store specific data about you, please contact us.
Who do we share your data with?
As a rule, we do not share personal data with third parties. However, in certain cases, it may be necessary to do so. For example, we may need to share personal data with service providers engaged by us to ensure proper processing of services. Additionally, we may be legally required to disclose personal data to third parties under applicable laws and regulations. However, Logixity does not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Cookies
Logixity uses so-called functional cookies to optimize the usability of the website. These cookies help, for instance, to identify the contact details provided by a visitor in the contact form. In addition, we use analytical cookies to gain insights into aspects such as the number of visitors to a web page.
You have control over what data we are allowed to use via cookies. If you have given us permission to personalize your profile based on your browsing and search behavior, we can tailor our website specifically to your preferences, making it more personal and easier to use. We achieve this through cookies. We use the following types of cookies on our website:
Functional cookies: such as session and login cookies, which help us store information about your current visit and enable basic website functions (Google Analytics);
Anonymized analytical cookies: used to gain insights into how visitors interact with our website, such as the number of visitors and the most visited pages;
Tracking cookies: such as advertising cookies, which allow us to show you relevant advertisements based on your interests (Google Adwords).
Where do we store your data?
We process your data within the European Economic Area. This means that we also store your data within the EEA. In some cases, your personal data will be processed outside the EEA. Unfortunately, the rules in those countries do not always offer the same protection of personal data as in the Netherlands. That is why we have ensured that your personal data in that case is just as well protected as it is here. We have done this by making agreements (DPA – Data Processing Agreements) with those who handle your data outside the EEA. This way your data remains safe and protection in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact us.
What are your rights?
At Logixity, you may request an overview of the personal data we process about them. If any of the personal data is incorrect, incomplete, or no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, you may request that this data be rectified, supplemented, or deleted. In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of their personal data, including for purposes such as direct marketing or personalized website content, and may also request the restriction of data processing in specific circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to data portability, meaning that if you are a client or have given consent for the use data, you may request to receive their personal data in a digital format to transmit it to another organization. You may also withdraw previously given consent for data processing at any time. Lastly, you have the right to file a complaint regarding the way Logixity processes your personal data.
We will do our best to resolve such matters directly, but clients may also contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). In the event of legal proceedings, the competent court shall be that of the place of business of Logixity B.V. If a client submits any such request, Logixity will respond as soon as possible, and in any event within four weeks of receiving the request.
How do I submit a request or complaint?
For questions or complaints about the processing of personal data by Logixity, you can send an email to support@logixity.io.
The Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) monitors whether companies comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If, according to you or the client, we do not (fully) comply with the applicable regulations for the protection of personal data, you can contact us. We are happy to help you find a solution. Additionally, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
We process every request or complaint within 30 days. If you submit multiple applications or complaints or if you submit a complex request or complaint, this may take more time. In that case, we will contact you within 60 days at the latest. We may ask you to identify yourself. In that case, we will ask you to submit certain information to ensure that you are the correct person whose personal data is.
Changes to the Policy
Privacy laws and regulations may change. Therefore, Logixity’s privacy policy is never completely finished. We do our best to keep the policy up to date and may amend this privacy statement from time to time. If these changes are important to you, we will notify you of the changes in a clear and noticeable way. The most current version of our privacy statement is always available on our website.
